Show me your project and I’ll tell you your future!

If you wonder what are future businessmen, professors, innovators, startupers doing right now, I have the answer. First, they are thinking about their finals. Secondly, they are realising social projects within the scope of „Exempt from Theory” school Olympics. They don’t have  to cram as they learn in action!

Innovativeness – a need instead of boredom
Last autumn, I would move the premiere of Iphone 6 to the second place in the category of the innovativeness. The first place should be given to the new dimension of school’s rivalry. It doesn’t matter how much you know. It is essential how you can use it in practice. It does not matter if you live in Rzeszów or in Warsaw. What counts is your knowledge of the problems of your reality. Don’t you know how does project management look like? You don’t have to spend a semester attending obligatory lectures. It’s enough when you jump into action and an intuitive platform will guide you step by step to your aim realisation. This is the construction of the Olympics. No boredom, worthlessness and wasting of time.Innovative? Even revolutionary!
Most wanted
Young, just after the studies, knowledge of at least two foreign languages and few years of experience. This is what most of young people who look for a job without success think. Or let’s say those who studied only reading their guidebooks. Just to see after five years that a half of that knowledge is forgotten and they don’t know what to do with the rest in practice. I would even claim that the members of the above mentioned Olympics know intuitively how the recruitment will look like in few years. Recruitment for the best paid and the most developing jobs. Tell me what you did and I will tell you what you can do and how much can we pay you for this.
Everything depends on You
Some time ago, we could have just dreamt about such freedom. Test and tests. Next tests and exams. We always saw a red sign „I MUST”. Looking from the perspective of time, there was no chance for conscious education. I think that young people today have a stronger need to manifest their attitude towards the reality than it was in the past The best example is social media. It is common to criticise failed photos on Facebook.
Even commenting a change of timetable is not surprising. It’s something like expressing oneself by the possibility of reaction. A similar idea is motivating social projects. If the whole „Exempt from Theory” Olympics wereas completed after the initial stage, i.e. developing a concept, there would be no subject of innovativeness. Here, you don’t have to just find a niche where you can introduce a change, you also have to act efficiently enough to achieve set aims. Replacing „I must” with „I can” offers freedom. This freedom has the power to change the reality.
Seeing from the angle of the young
Taking look into current projects and the way of handling them, we can get the image of reality perceived by the young generation. Each will of change reveals imperfection and the need of having something different. My guest in the audition: Rebellious Stories – the Young can do more!, was Kuba Latoszewski, the leader of „Future is coming” project. The assumption of this initiative is organising a conference in Starogard Gdański. According to the organisor, there are numerous workshops, seminaries, during which, despite the presence of well known people, young people do not have the possibility of networking with speakers. And the „Future is coming” conference is to offer such chances. I was also interested by „Don’t study unemployment” project which clearly expresses own mission and the will to counteract acquiring not practical knowledge. I have no doubts that this will warn many high school graduates from a failed choice of the studies.
There is one motto that expresses the essence of projects realised by young people:
„It does not matter what you are working on but who you will become if you last or resign”.
The stake is something more than a good entry in CV. This is mostly about building the power of the character and becoming the best possible version of oneself. As then, there is no door that can not be open or to be built.
